Sam Welch President, North America Advertising Sam brings a broad perspective to marketing and promotion, shaping
success in today’s global health and wellness market. These aspects
consist of professional promotion, consumer communications, customer
relationship management (CRM), digital promotion, public relations,
managed care, and government affairs. Sam has worked for pharmaceutical
companies and healthcare communications agencies so he understands both
aspects of the business.
Sam began his career at Procter &
Gamble Pharmaceuticals and Boots Pharmaceuticals, moved to KPR,
and then Ketchum Communications. Later as Managing Director of Saatchi
& Saatchi Healthcare Advertising, Sam worked to promote blockbuster
brands such as Prilosec, Nexium, and Seroquel. He was the President of
Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare Communications Group in the U.S., later
becoming Chief Operating Officer of PHCG. Today, Sam is the President
of North America Advertising and manages three Saatchi & Saatchi
Health divisions in the U.S., Publicis Life Brands Medicus in New York
and Toronto, Williams-Labadie in Chicago, and in-sync headquartered in
Toronto. He also has responsibility for PHCG’s Medical Affairs and
Integrated Services departments.
